Meet Jim Marquardt
Jim has called Key West home since 1999. Married and a homeowner that is 100% solar, Jim gives of his time and resources to our community in many ways. Jim is Vice Chair of Inns on the Board of Directors for The Lodging Association of the Florida Keys and Key West, Board Member of The Key West Attractions Association, Family Member of The Key West Business Guild.
As General Manager of The Gardens Hotel, Jim has positioned this hotel to be awarded Top 4 Small Luxury Boutique Hotels in the USA - TripAdvisor 2025, Top 10 Small Luxury Boutique Hotels in the World - TripAdvisor 2025; GM Of The Year, Lodging Association of the Florida Keys and Key West among other awards.
Jim is a graduate of Leadership Monroe Class of 30 and the class project earned a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition. He is also a graduate of the City Of Key West Ambassadors Academy.
Originally from Arizona Jim graduated from NAU with a BS in Telecommunications Management and has Produced, Directed for ABC, NBC and The Signal Companies, traveling extensively Domestic and Internationally.
Prior to moving to Key West, Jim was an Executive Director of Commercial Broadcast Copyright Licensing for ASCAP in NYC.
